Well-bred but streetwise, this lightweight blend yarn is versatile and strong while maintaining buttery softness, making it a sophisticated choice for everyday items, luxurious next-to-skin wear and precious accessories.

With a merino-like softness, high grade Bluefaced Leicester tempers the slipperiness of silk while adding strength and elasticity. The BFL makes this yarn hardwearing, low pilling and long lasting, whilst the addition of silk adds a sophisticated sheen and drape with a crispness for stunning lace knitting.

Although impossible to tell by its handle, this yarn is superwash, however to preserve the life and beauty of any knitted item handwashing or machine soaking/spinning in lukewarm water and drying flat is strongly recommended. Over time machine agitation will cause wear on all spun fibres.

I only use supersorted Bluefaced Leicester which means that the fibre is picked through at twice the rate that normal wools are handled and then examined again before being combed and sent for processing at the spinning mill. This ensures that only the softest BFL is used for my blends - delicate enough for the most sensitive skins.

Please note that the colour settings on your monitor may not display hues accurately and that as a hand-dyed product the colour intensity can very from skein to skein. Please email me directly before purchasing if you have any colour concerns, as hand-dyes are non-refundable. Thanks!
