Silent Current features a finely crafted fish rendered through the meticulous quilling technique, using black paper accented with silver gilding. The piece measures 14 by 18 inches within its frame, allowing the detailed textures and subtle metallic highlights on the fish’s scales to captivate the viewer. Its large fins flow gracefully, suggesting quiet movement beneath the water's surface.

Set against a softly colored underwater background, the composition uses gentle shades of blue and light tones to create depth and atmosphere without competing with the fish’s striking presence. Small bubbles and hints of other colorful fish in the distance further enrich the scene, adding layers that evoke a tranquil aquatic environment. The interplay between the dark, shimmering fish and the delicate backdrop emphasizes both fluidity and stillness, capturing a moment of serene elegance in an underwater world.
