Toledo is home to many majestic bald eagles, making our natural spaces an excellent opportunity to spot America's mascot. They can be seen soaring over downtown, over Walbridge Park, along the lake shore, and all along the Maumee River.

A fun fact: The powerful screech sound you often hear associated with bald eagles in movies is actually typically made by a hawk! Bald eagles make a shrill chattering sound when they communicate. Keep an ear out next time you're taking a stroll along the river!
