The Hat That Bridges the Gap Between Ocean and Bay

Inspired by the resilience of the Old Inlet, our hat pays homage to the natural wonder that connects Bellport Bay to the ocean. Once closed, then reopened by Superstorm Sandy, this vital passage allowed for the free flow of clean water and had sparked the return of diverse wildlife. While it has since closed once more, it is a reminder of the large impacts that subtle changes can make.
