About The Artist: Robert Delaunay was a French artist best known for his pioneering work in abstract art and the development of Orphism, a movement that emphasized the use of vibrant color and dynamic movement. Delaunay gradually moved toward a more lyrical and color-driven style. His famous "Windows" and "Circular Forms" series explored how color and light could create rhythm and harmony without relying on traditional representation. He often collaborated with his wife, artist Sonia Delaunay, and together they blurred the lines between fine art and design. Delaunay's work had a lasting impact on modern art, especially in how color and abstraction are understood and used.
