The stones selected for the Incense Stone project were appointed with a 3mm hole to allow for the insertion of standard incense stick. This simple addition of negative space accommodates an interaction between human, mineral, and ritual. Metamorphic rock is formed when sedimentary and\or igneous rocks are transformed through heat, pressure, or other geological effects. Procurement of one specimen grants access to the entire Earth\Studies log from this edition of Incense Stones.
