"When you ask me how I want to be remembered, it is as a winner." – Walter Payton

Those words weren't just about football. They were about character.

Walter Payton's story began in Mississippi, but Chicago became his home. It was there that "Sweetness" became more than a nickname. He ran with power, grace, and an unshakable determination that defined a generation of football. He became the heart of a city and one of the greatest to ever play the game.

As we celebrate The Places That Made Them, we continue our tribute to Walter Payton and the city that proudly calls him its own.
