“Austin 3:16 says I just whipped your ass!”

At the heart of the “Attitude Era,” a giant of a man roamed the earth, so big that he embodied the colossal, working-class spirit of Texas. Stone Cold Steve Austin. A six-time WWE champion and three-time Royal Rumble winner. A legend of the squared circle, whose anti-authoritarian views spoke directly to a nation.

Stone Cold solidified himself as one of the most beloved figures in the history of pro wrestling that night in 1996, after his famous match with Jake Roberts. It was then that he rolled out his iconic catchphrase.

From that moment on, “Austin 3:16” became to wrestling fans a rally cry forever.
