The Fort Knox Glass Railing Rectangular Bar Post with Square Glass Clamps is part of Inline Design's Rectangular Bar Style Glass Railing System. Unlike our modular round and square post systems, which are offered as separate handrail and no-handrail products, this post can be installed either with a flat bar handrail on top or without any top rail hardware, using the same post.
Built from a solid 1-3/4" x 5/8" / 45 x 15 mm rectangular stainless steel bar for End and Middle posts, and a 1-3/4" x 1-3/4" / 45 x 45 mm L-shape solid bar for Corner posts, this post is a heavy-duty, solid-bar option for modern glass railing systems that pairs with our Square Glass Clamps.
Use it for balconies, decks, porches, patios, stairs, landings, terraces, indoor railings, outdoor railings, wet or dry locations, residential projects, and commercial projects when installed according to local code, approved mounting conditions, glass requirements, and project-specific engineering.
Glass panels are purchased separately. This post system is designed for use with compatible tempered or laminated glass panels. Verify glass thickness, panel height, panel width, local code requirements, and project-specific engineering before ordering glass.

Important Installation Notes
- Glass panels are not included. Glass must be provided by a local vendor.
- If a flat bar handrail is installed on top, corners must be miter cut and field-welded, and the handrail must include a welded joint at least every 13 feet. Unlike our hollow-tube modular round and square post systems, this solid bar profile requires professional on-site welding capability rather than modular fittings.
- Base anchors are not included. Due to the variety of floor surfaces, customers must supply the appropriate connecting hardware for the base, including screws, bolts, anchor bolts, or other project-specific fasteners. For substrate-specific fastener guidance and recommended approaches, see Anchoring Options for Railing Posts.
- Anchor selection must be based on the mounting surface, including concrete, steel, wood framing, blocking, or other approved structural substrates.
- Stair posts and other custom posts require an additional fee to account for custom post fabrication and CAD drawings specific to the customer field measurements when necessary.
- This post is fabricated to order; production requires 2 to 3 weeks.
- Handrail, top rail, guardrail height, glass type, post spacing, anchoring, and other structural requirements must be verified against local code and project-specific engineering.
- For coastal or high-corrosion environments, stainless steel must be cleaned and maintained regularly.
