The octopus family is now complete! Opal is the Goldilocks of the group - not too big, not too small, but just right.

She shares the same sleepy eyes and wonderfully squishable body as her brothers Opus and Opie, and is equally at home perched on a sofa or at the head of a bed.

Opal’s body is worked in the round, with eyelids worked flat, and tentacles worked flat, in intarsia in two colors.

Octopuses (not octopi) are members of the cephalopod family. Opal's knitted cephalopod family includes Inkling the Squid and Horatio the Nautilus, also by Cate Carter-Evans.

Important note: Opal is for decorative purposes only. This item is not a toy, and the design does not meet any safety standards for toys. The kit and pattern are sold on an “as is” basis, therefore the risk of the quality and performance of the design is with the buyer.
