Titan Wood Post Anchor is North America's favorite wood post anchor…for a lot of reasons. Now you can build a wood railing system on virtually any surface. It's fast and easy, looks better, lasts longer and can be used in residential code compliant deck railings when installed as directed.

Easy installation. No notching decking, no complicated carpentry, framing or hardware, and posts are higher and drier for longer life

A sharp-edged, lightweight, rigid tube tracks into a pre-drilled circular saw kerf and then cuts deep into the core of the wood post. The tube holds the post and anchor together longer providing greater security rather than screws alone. This makes the connection more visually appealing.
Use with 3-1/2 in. or 4 in posts and Use with 5-1/2 in. or 6 in. posts.
Screws for concrete surfaces sold separately.

Fasteners	For residential engineering guidelines use (4) 3/8” x 5" hex head lag screws, minimum (6) #14 x 3, No#3 square drive screws or 1/4 x 3” hex head lag screws. Use only a No#3 Square Drive bit or you may strip the drive head.
Recommended Uses & Code Compliance	Residential deck railing 36”-42” high, pergola or gazebo posts, support posts. Maximum post spacing: 6' for 36" 4x4 posts; 4' for 42" 4x4 posts; 8' for 36" 6x6 posts; 6' for 42" 6x6 posts. See Engineering Reports for horizontal, compression and tension loads.
Composite Decking	Pre-drill screw holes before driving screws into composite decking. Composite and synthetic boards are very dense and if holes are not pre-drilled you may snap off the head of the screw. Also pre-drilling holes on wood or composite deck boards anytime a screw will be driven very close to the edge of a board as this will prevent the board from splitting.
Recommended Wood Species	For best performance and ease of installation use with species ranging from cedar, spruce, redwood, pine, and hem-fir with moisture content of 12%-20%. To comply with residential engineering guidelines, do not use any species with specific gravity (density) less than the lowest of the above recommended species.
Other Species	Douglas fir – ensure cutting edge of tube is sharp and moisture content is not less than 12%, otherwise, install as if hardwood.
Hardwoods	Requires hole saw and fastner bit installation technique as tube can not be impaled into wood easily.
