A dado is not a small trim but a banding course, and this one presents a five-centimetre face in glossy black ceramic to draw a proper horizontal line across a room from Hyperion Tiles, your official Ca'Pietra stockist.
At 20 x 5 x 1.5cm each length is more than twice the width of the bead profile, and that width is the entire point. A dado sets the height at which a wall changes — tiling below, paint or paper above — and gives the change an edge substantial enough to be read from the far side of the room. It is the tiled equivalent of a chair rail.
Black makes that division emphatic. Ca'Pietra supply the moulding for indoor wall use and it suits bathroom and shower walls, where the glossy dark face is easy to keep clean and asks for no sealing. The mouldings are not matched to one specific tile, so the band is yours to place: at chair-rail height, or wherever the fittings and the proportions of the room suggest.
See the Architectural Mouldings in person at 67 High Street, Ascot, where our family-run team will set the profile against your chosen tile. Free cut samples are free to collect from the showroom, or posted to you for the cost of postage. Delivery is FREE on orders over £1,000!
