With its Capri range of aquariums, Hydor caters to beginners entering the world of fishkeeping for the first time, offering a safe and easy-to-use product. Each aquarium is built in compliance with international standard EN 60598-2-11, required for the CE declaration for all aquariums placed on the market.

Characterised by a clean, streamlined design, Capri fish tanks, now available with LED lighting, have been designed to deliver high performance with low energy consumption. The LED lighting system ensures excellent colour rendering, brilliant colours, efficiency and reliability, with 50% energy savings compared with fluorescent lamps and a lifespan of up to 50,000 hours.

Each Capri aquarium is equipped with a watertight lid, not hinged to the tank and tested to withstand humidity and water splashes. The large front access doors make maintenance easier. Capri aquariums are suitable for both freshwater and marine setups and are available in capacities of 40, 60 and 100 litres, in white and black.

The Capri 50 LED model, with a capacity of 40 litres and 4 mm glass, is equipped with the advanced Bluwave 01 filtration system, which provides effective dual-action water filtration: mechanical and adsorbent. Mechanical filtration captures impurities and helps keep the water clean, while the disposable cartridge with activated carbon granules provides adsorbent filtration to remove aromatic compounds and colourants, ensuring maximum water clarity.

The filter is complete with a Pico pump, powerful yet quiet, which delivers high performance with low energy consumption. Water intake grids positioned at the top and bottom optimise water circulation, helping to prevent oily film from forming on the surface. Designed for easy installation and cleaning, the Bluwave 01 filter includes suction cups for secure attachment and features a structure designed to minimise dirt dispersion during maintenance. It is also complete with filter media.

In addition to its filtration system, the Capri 50 LED aquarium features advanced lighting with Hydor’s 6.5 W LED Bar Pro Toplife, complete with power supply and supports for simple and secure installation. Designed to provide convenience, safety and a superior visual experience, this LED lamp combines a durable, modern design with advanced functions, including dimmer control, timer and day-night modes, meeting the needs of both experienced aquarists and beginners.

Thanks to its extended light spectrum, the LED Bar Pro faithfully replicates natural light, promoting healthy aquatic plant growth and naturally enhancing the blue and red tones of fish and plants. The 120° lighting angle ensures even tank coverage, avoiding shadow areas and providing optimal light distribution.

The LED Bar Pro features an integrated control unit that makes it easy to manage a range of advanced functions for customised lighting:

Dimmer: allows light intensity to be adjusted according to the specific needs of fish and plants
2 lighting modes: daylight and nightlight to simulate the natural light cycle
Built-in timer: with 3 preset options of 6, 9 and 12 hours for precise, customised programming
Sunrise and sunset simulation: a preset function simulates sunrise for 30 minutes when the lamp is switched on and sunset for 30 minutes before it switches off

Made from high-quality materials, the LED Bar Pro features a scratch-resistant polycarbonate body that is easy to clean and highly durable. With an IP68 protection rating, it is resistant to water splashes and accidental immersion, ensuring high reliability. Low-voltage operation at 24 V adds an extra level of safety.

Finally, the aquarium is designed to accommodate external accessories thanks to special snap-off plugs on the lid, ideal for installing an external filter or other accessories.

The matching Stand Cayman 50 is available as an optional accessory, in a black finish, ideal for supporting the tank.
