Available in 8-frame and 10-frame Langstroth deep sizes, these brood boxes are made from sustainably sourced New Zealand radiata timber or ThermoGrade™ paulownia for long-lasting durability and reliable performance.
Designed for versatility, this Langstroth brood box can be used as a brood chamber or as an additional conventional honey super, making it suitable for hobbyist and commercial beekeepers alike.
Each brood box features our signature V™ design, which strengthens the box while providing a comfortable built-in handle for easy lifting and hive management.
The 8-frame version includes eight foundationless brood frames, allowing bees to naturally build their own comb. These frames are also compatible with wax foundation and wire or plastic foundation, giving you the flexibility to manage your hive using your preferred beekeeping method.

Choosing the Right Size
Not sure which brood box you need? The correct size depends on your Flow Hive model.
Flow Frames are slightly wider than traditional wooden Langstroth frames. Because of this, an 8-frame Langstroth hive uses 6 Flow Frames, while a 10-frame Langstroth hive uses 7 Flow Frames to fill the Flow Super.

NOTE: It is possible to stack this product with either our Western Red Cedar or Araucaria products. Learn how to add brood boxes or supers of different wood types at our support portal. Langstroth sizing can vary up to a few mm so depending on the timber width of your existing hive, these brood boxes may not sit completely flush; however, this won’t impair functionality.
