Mar Elias Monastery located on a hill in south Jerusalem with views of Bethlehem and Jabal al-Fureidis. According to Christian tradition, Elijah rested here after getting away from Jezebel.
Also Mar Elias was a small refugee camp in south-west Beirut established in 1952. Comprised mainly by Christian Palestinians at the time.
