About This Filter
Mitsubishi Electric's V Air (anti-virus) filter is a washable main filter with a surface coating that Mitsubishi describes as antibacterial, virus-suppressing and oil-repellent. It also captures dust and lint before they reach the indoor unit's coil and fan.
Care & Replacement
Clean every two weeks. Vacuum with a soft brush attachment, or wash gently in lukewarm water (below 122°F / 50°C) with a mild detergent, rinse well, and let it dry completely in the shade before reinstalling. Do not run the indoor unit without its filters installed. Washable filters are not lifetime filters: replace every 1 to 3 years based on wear. Regular cleaning gradually wears the filter, so we recommend replacing it annually for best performance, and sooner if it is torn, warped or will not come clean.
