12 X 24 Oil on Canvas 12 X 24 Oil on Canvas "And she shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth fruit in her season; her leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever she doeth shall prosper." - Psalm 1:3 I think the metaphors we use are important. Sometimes I catch myself saying things like, "I need to recharge" or "I''m going to crash" as if I were a computer or a machine. But, especially with the new AI technologies, I am realizing how I am not good at the same things machines are good at, nor do I really want to be. In my quest to find metaphors that feel good and life affirming, I am exploring ones that relate my experiences to nature. Trees that grow and sway slowly. Trees that have a season of growth leading into a season of harvest followed by shedding their leaves and entering a season of dormancy. Trees and plants that thrive in community.
