A candlestick that shows the hand of the maker.
Thrown in the Draa Valley of Morocco, this Tamegroute piece leaves much of its pale clay body exposed, then introduces a loose, moss-green splatter of copper-oxide glaze. Smoke, ash and the heat of the underground kiln deepen the surface further, giving every candlestick its own pattern, colour and patina.
Its tall, tapered form brings texture and contrast to a table, mantel or shelf. Style it alone for a restrained note of colour, or pair different heights together to create a more considered composition.
