A single red boat against the turquoise, pulling into the Positano shore as the town rises behind it in its tumble of colour. I was drawn straight to that flash of red — the way one warm note can anchor a whole frame. The beach busy with the easy business of a summer day, the water almost unreal. Sometimes a photograph is just about following the colour that catches your eye, and trusting it knows something you don't.
