Crypt Wendtii Flamingo

Cryptocoryne Flamingo is one of the most sought-after Crypts, and it's easy to see why! This plant has beautiful pink leaves that really stand out in a planted aquarium. If you're looking to add a pop of color without going with a typical red plant, this is a great option!

Crypt Flamingo is a pretty slow grower and can be a little more finicky than other Crypts. It does best with medium lighting, and while CO2 isn't required, it can definitely help with growth and coloration. Like other Crypts, it will also benefit from a nutrient-rich substrate or root tabs.

Once you get this plant settled into your aquarium, we recommend leaving it be! Crypts don't always love being moved around, and keeping conditions stable will help this plant establish itself.

Crypts are often grown emersed (above water), so it's normal for some of their leaves to melt as they adjust to being fully submerged. Once new submerged growth starts coming in, the plant should begin to settle into its new environment.
