Crypt Spiralis is a great beginner-friendly plant that's a little different from your typical Crypt! Unlike most Crypts, this one grows tall with long, narrow leaves, making it a great option for the background of your aquarium. It has a similar look to Jungle Val but grows much slower and has denser leaves.
This plant does well in low to medium lighting and doesn't require CO2. Like other Crypts, it will benefit from a nutrient-rich substrate or root tabs to help keep it happy and growing!
Crypts are often grown emersed (above water) so it's normal for some of their leaves to melt as they adjust to being fully submerged. Once new submerged growth starts coming in, the plants begin to settle into their new environment.
