Each Ladybird Tower is thoughtfully designed with a hollow central chamber, filled with natural straw to provide warmth, insulation and a secure shelter for beneficial insects. Carefully drilled pathways through the sides of the timber provide easy access to the central chamber, while the peaked roof offers protection from the weather.
Supplied with a sturdy ground pole, which is securely attached to the rear for transport, the Ladybird Tower can be placed in a variety of settings. Position it on a lawn, in a sheltered flower bed, among trees and woodland planting, or even in a suitable planter.
To encourage ladybirds to make the tower their home, simply apply a small amount of ladybird food around the entrance holes.
Made from naturally durable, slow-seasoned timber, each tower requires no chemical preservatives. This keeps the habitat natural and avoids treatments that could discourage beneficial insects from taking up residence.
