Here's KnitCushion, the pincushion for knitters and quilters.  Cleverly constructed of garter stitch bands, KnitCushion is a parking spot for cable stitch needles, darning needles, crochet hooks, and yes, pins and needles. Quilters use the center ring as a home for a favorite thimble and love the generous size of this classy, wool pincushion. Use the jumbo size as a pencil holder at a desk.  

Pattern includes directions for a basic four ring knitcushion and four variations --mini, striped, mini striped, and a jumbo size for larger knitting notions.  

This pattern is easy to knit. Suitable for beginning knitters who know how to cast on, knit, and cast off. This pattern does not contain increases or decreases. The design uses US #6 needles

Suggested yarn:  Lamb's Pride Worsted by Brown Sheep (85% wool, 15% mohair) 4 ounce skeins, 190 yards per skein (113 grams), 1 skein each of 3 or 4 colors
