These highly detailed waterslide shield transfers are pre-cut for easy application and designed to fit directly onto compatible plastic shields, making them ideal for historical wargaming, miniature painting, and army customisation.

The Ioviani Seniores were an elite infantry legion named in honour of Jupiter, the patron deity of Emperor Diocletian. Holding the highest position on the infantry roster of the Western Roman field army, the Ioviani were among the most distinguished military formations of the Late Roman Empire, reflecting their exceptional status within the imperial forces.

Serving alongside their sister legion, the Herculiani, the Ioviani played an important role in Roman military history from the Tetrarchy through to the 5th century AD. Their distinctive shield pattern is recorded in the Notitia Dignitatum, an important historical document detailing the military organisation, regiments, and insignia of the Late Roman Empire.

Perfect for recreating 4th and 5th century Roman armies, these historically inspired shield transfers add authentic detail to your Late Roman infantry, elite palatine legions, and historical tabletop wargaming collections.
