The Chi-Rho symbol, formed by combining the first two Greek letters of Christos, became an important emblem of Christianity within the Roman Empire. According to the ancient writer Lactantius, Emperor Constantine was instructed in a dream to mark his soldiers' shields with a divine symbol before the Battle of the Milvian Bridge in 312 AD.

Perfect for representing Christian Roman soldiers of the 4th and 5th centuries, these detailed shield transfers offer an effective way to add historical character and authenticity to your Late Roman tabletop armies, whether you're recreating historical battles or building a custom wargaming force.
