Our Alpaca Cap has been reworked with a slightly shorter profile and an updated rib construction for AW26, taking its cues from a vintage knit cap we've long admired around the GV office. The revised proportions give it a more compact, considered silhouette, while retaining the simple, utilitarian character that makes a great knit cap so indispensable.

What hasn't changed is the yarn. Spun from 100% baby alpaca wool, our cap takes full advantage of this wool's incredible properties. Unlike conventional sheep's wool, alpaca fibers have a partially hollow structure that helps trap air for exceptional warmth without extra bulk. Their unusually long staple length also contributes to a strong, resilient yarn with natural elasticity and impressive durability.

And then there's the softness. Baby alpaca's exceptionally smooth fiber surface gives it a remarkably gentle hand, comparable to fine cashmere but with a character entirely its own. Warm, lightweight, and wonderfully comfortable against the skin, it's a material that makes even the simplest winter accessory feel rather special.
