Measure from the joint between the leg and the groin to the ankle bone inside the leg. This measurement is commonly referred to as the inseam. These leg chaps should be a little shorter than your pant size. Important to note: if you plan to connect heated socks to these leg chaps, please go one size down for the heated leg chaps. For example, if you normally buy jeans that have an inseam of 31" or 32" and you also intend to pair these leg chaps with heated socks, then you should opt for the 29" leg chaps.

Pairs seamlessly with our heated insoles or heated socks via the convenient hideaway plugs at the end of each leg. These leg chaps come with a splitter, which allows you to add-on and power heated insoles via a single switch cord or single temperature controller (sold separately). The diagram below illustrates how to connect our heated clothing seamlessly. Gen-X3 and Gen-X4 are compatible with one another.

Q: What are the specs?
A: The leg chaps work with a 12V battery providing 46 watts of heat and draw 3.4 amps of current (as tested while the engine was idling).

Q: Will this work alongside other brands of heated clothing?
A: Yes! All our heated clothing is compatible with Firstgear, Gerbing, Warm & Safe, Tourmaster, and Venture Heat. You may need an adapter such as our SKU 100386-1 or 100389-1.
-----------
Q: What is the difference between Gen-X3 and Gen-X4?
A: Gen-X3 uses a copper-based heating element (made in the USA), whereas Gen-X4 uses Zepto fibres (made in France). Thus, Gen-X4 heats up faster, generates more heat, and is lighter. Both are amazing products, but Gen-X4 is just a little bit of an upgrade!

Q: How do I wash and dry this heated apparel?
A: It can only be machine washed if your washing machine has a hand wash cycle. Please note that the hand wash cycle is typically only available on newer washing machines. If your machine does not have a hand wash cycle, then you must manually wash by hand. For drying, you can only hang dry. Do not use a drying machine.
Consider purchasing one of our Heated Clothing Portable Battery Kits if you'd like to use your heated leg chaps when you get off your vehicle. In other words, a portable battery will allow you to use these chaps while skiing, snowboarding, or just taking a walk on a cold day.
