The three tools you'll use on every cake.
Frost Form does the sides. These do everything else. Spreading the filling between your layers and getting it level. Smoothing the buttercream before it goes in the form. Then, after the peel, the sharp top edge and the tidy finish that makes the whole cake look like you bought it.
The palette knives do the layering and spreading. The Frost Finisher does the top edge, the corners and the details. The 11" tall scraper is for the day you go bigger: a tall cake, a stacked one, or anything made with the Extra Tall Liners. One pass, top to bottom, and the whole side is smooth.
If you're buying a kit, these are the tools to buy with it.
The kit does the sides. You still need something to fill and level your layers, spread your buttercream and sharpen the top edge, and a butter knife doesn't do it. These are the three we use on every cake, start to finish.
"It makes it so much easier to get a nice smooth and evenly covered surface, so more time can be on piping details." Annikki M.
You can get a cake made with a butter knife and a ruler. It takes longer and the top edge won't be sharp. A proper palette knife spreads flat and level. The Finisher is shaped for the edge. That's the difference between a nice cake and one people ask about.
It covers everything. It does a 4" cake as well as a 9" one, and it's the only scraper tall enough for an 8" build or the Extra Tall Liners. One tool, every height.
"I couldn't figure out how to make a straight stacked cake until I got my frost form." Hannah B.
