The black colour is created by oxidising and then enamelling the silver. This creates a striking and durable finish and ensure the sheep retain their stunning looks! Fine silver does not tarnish in the same way as sterling silver and these fleecy friends will only need a very occasional rub with a silver cloth. All our Swaledale earrings come with a silver butterfly fastening to hold the sheep securely in place.
