Willie Wagtails (Rhipidura leucophrys)
One of Australia’s most familiar birds, the Willie Wagtail is named for its constantly fanning and wagging tail. An agile insect hunter, it catches much of its food on the wing and will often follow people and animals to snatch insects they disturb. Despite its small size, it is bold and fiercely territorial, fearlessly chasing much larger birds away from its nest.
