Crimson Rosella on an IXL Plum Jam tin. (With pearl acacia, leucadendron, gum nuts, crimson bottlebrush and firewheel.)The iconic IXL brand began in Hobart, Tasmania, with jam & preserves produced by Henry Jones & Co. at the historic factory on Hunter Street. Henry Jones became one of Tasmania’s great early entrepreneurs, with IXL jams eventually exported around the world. The famous “IXL” name is said to play on the phrase “I excel.”Crimson Rosellas are native to eastern and south-eastern Australia and are known for their brilliant red and blue plumage.
Leucadendron, gum nuts, crimson bottlebrush and firewheel.
I created this artwork by using watercolours and gouache paints.
Also available as a card. Also matches up perfectly with my Eastern Rosella artwork.
