FSB 1004 is part of FSB's Standard Mortise Lock (SML) program — German-engineered architectural door hardware known for precise proportions and a tactile, ergonomic grip.
Designed by David Chipperfield, FSB 1004 reverses the logic of the Gropius handle: a round neck resolves into a square grip through a soft, angled bend. The result is architectural, tactile, and unmistakably Chipperfield — a longstanding favourite among architects, particularly in bronze.
Available in passage, privacy, single dummy, and double dummy configurations. Handing is required for single dummy.
Important: European roses are typically smaller than standard North American models, with many measuring approximately 50 mm in diameter. Rose sizes can vary by brand and range, so please review all dimensions carefully. These handles may not fit existing or pre-bored door holes without adjustments.
Solid stainless steel or anodized aluminum, depending on finish.
