Sir Winston was so in love with his glasses, purchased from C.W. Dixey & Son in London, that he secured from Mr. Dixey the pledge to never sell the same frame style to another customer while he lived. Indeed, one of the last three remaining Dixey frames awaiting delivery to Churchill was sold at auction for over $9,000.
