The Ultimate Grab-and-Go Trout Setup

Don't let a complicated setup stand between you and a rising trout. The Primal Reccy Fly Fishing Combo is designed to solve the "mission-ready" dilemma, offering a perfectly balanced rig that is just as at home on a remote high-country trek as it is for a quick flick at the local river after work.

Precision Engineering for Backcountry Success

The Reccy isn't just a starter kit; it's a high-performance complete fly fishing outfit built to handle the rigours of the Australian bush. By utilizing Multi-Modulus Blanks and Longitudinal Fibre Alignment (LFA), Primal has created a rod that offers incredible casting precision and a "soulful" feel that helps you time your casts perfectly. Why does this matter? When you buy Primal fly fishing combo online from Boss Outdoor, you’re getting a setup that removes the guesswork—the Fly Lab Exo reel is already perfectly matched to the rod’s action and pre-spooled with a high-floating Airflo Velocity line. This means more time with your fly in the water and less time faffing with gear that doesn't quite "click."

Why the Primal Reccy is the Versatile Choice for Anglers:

Ready-to-Fish Integration: Comes pre-spooled with an Airflo Velocity Weight Forward line and backing, allowing you to head straight to the water the moment it arrives.
LFA Precision Casting: Advanced fibre alignment ensures the rod tracks straight, making it easier to drop your fly into tight pockets under overhanging tea-trees.
Low Mass Scrim (LMS): Reduces the overall weight of the blank without compromising on toughness—perfect for bush-bashing into remote "secret" spots.
Travel-Ready 4pc Design: Packs down into a compact, durable Cordura rod tube with a carry strap, fitting easily into a hiking pack or the back of the ute.
Single Foot Guides: These lightweight guides increase line control and responsiveness, helping you feel even the most subtle "thumps" from a finicky brown trout.
Fly Lab Exo Reel: A rugged, reliable reel with a smooth drag system designed to protect light leaders when a trophy fish decides to run.
Quick Fix Warranty: Fish with total confidence knowing that Primal’s fast, no-hassle support has your back if a tip meets a car door or a low-hanging branch.
