The coffee plant has glossy, deep green leaves that make it an attractive houseplant. With good care it grows into a small shrub and may produce fragrant white flowers and red coffee cherries as it matures.

How to Care for Your Plant

• Light: Bright, filtered light. Morning sun is fine, but avoid harsh afternoon sun, which can burn the leaves.
• Watering: Keep the soil evenly moist but not soggy. Water when the top 2cm of soil feels dry, usually every 2–3 days.
• Humidity: Enjoys humidity. Mist the leaves now and then if kept in an air-conditioned room.
• Soil: Rich, well-draining and slightly acidic soil. Make sure the pot has drainage holes.
• Fertiliser: Feed with a balanced liquid fertiliser once a month.

Tip: Brown, crispy leaf tips usually mean the air is too dry or the plant is getting too much direct sun.
