Blue Calceo Shrimp | Blue Dragon Shrimp
The Blue Calceo Shrimp, also known as the Blue Dragon Shrimp, is a highly sought after, rare Caridina hybrid originally bred in Germany that has incredible color! Their deep blue coloration makes them a standout in almost any aquascape, while their active grazing helps clean up biofilm, algae, and leftover food throughout the aquarium.
Blue Dragon Calceo Shrimp thrive in stable, soft, slightly acidic water with plenty of mosses, plants, and hiding places. Like other Caridina shrimp, they do best in established aquariums with consistent water parameters. Their peaceful nature makes them an excellent choice for shrimp only tanks or community aquariums with other small, nonaggressive species.
Blue Calceo Shrimp readily accept high quality shrimp foods, algae based wafers, and occasional blanched vegetables. Whether you’re looking to start your first Caridina colony or add a unique blue shrimp to your collection, the Blue Calceo Shrimp is a rewarding species to keep!
