The Dimplex Opti-Myst Linear uses ultrasonic technology to convert ordinary water into an ultra-fine, cool mist. Advanced HD LED lighting is then projected through this rising vapor, creating a remarkably realistic 3D illusion of dancing flames and rising smoke. Unlike traditional electric fireplaces that display flames on a flat screen, the Opti-Myst flames are actual three-dimensional vapor that you can see from multiple angles, delivering ambiance no other electric fireplace can match.

The OLF66-AM is designed to be hard plumbed to your home's water supply using standard 1/4" tubing for continuous, automatic operation—Dimplex offers an optional plumbed water supply kit designed for copper piping. If hard plumbing isn't feasible for your installation, you can use the optional manual water reservoir, which allows you to fill the unit by hand whenever needed. Hard plumbing is recommended for "set-it-and-forget-it" daily use.

The concealed ceramic heater warms up to 500 sq. ft. when wired to a 120V circuit and up to 1,000 sq. ft. when wired to a 240V circuit—ideal for living rooms, master bedrooms, basements, and great rooms. Yes, the heater can be turned off independently of the flame, so you can enjoy the realistic water vapor flames year-round, even in warm summer months. There's also a separate Air Circulation Mode that runs the fan without heat to keep room air moving.

The framing rough opening should be 68"W x 31 3/4"H x 12"D. The unit is true zero-clearance, meaning no chimney, gas line, or venting is required. It can be hardwired to either a 120V or 240V circuit (an optional 120V plug kit is also available). You'll need access to a water source for plumbing and an electrical connection during installation. Front glass protects and stabilizes the flame display. Always consult the included owner's manual or a qualified electrician/plumber before installation.

You have three control options: the included multi-function remote control, the Dimplex Flame Connect smartphone app (iOS and Android), or the hidden touch control panel built into the unit itself—which disappears from view when not in use for a clean, modern aesthetic. The Flame Connect App lets you create custom flame modes, adjust color themes, brightness, intensity, sound, and timer settings from anywhere in your home. A programmable timer can be set from 30 minutes up to 8 hours.

Yes—the Opti-Myst Linear series is widely used in hotels, restaurants, lobbies, hospitality venues, retail showrooms, and corporate spaces because the realistic water vapor flames offer wow-factor ambiance without the safety concerns, code requirements, or insurance complications of a real fire. The unit is built for continuous daily operation, especially when hard plumbed to a water supply. For specific commercial certification requirements, we recommend confirming application details with your local code authority.

Smart Self-Diagnostics technology continuously monitors the unit and provides maintenance and operation feedback so you always know its status. Routine maintenance typically includes periodic cleaning of the water tank/reservoir and ultrasonic transducer to prevent mineral buildup—frequency depends on water hardness in your area. Using filtered or distilled water can extend service intervals. The flame media (logs and crystals) is essentially maintenance-free, and the front glass can be wiped clean as needed.

Your purchase includes the Dimplex 66" Optimyst Linear Electric Fireplace, multi-function remote control, lifelike driftwood log media, modern acrylic ice crystal media, owner's manual with access to the Dimplex Flame Connect App, and a 2-year manufacturer's limited warranty. Electric Fireplaces Depot ships free to the continental USA, offers a 30-day money-back return policy on new unused units in original packaging, and is an authorized Dimplex dealer—so warranty coverage and manufacturer support are fully protected.
