The Riptide ALX Double Action Water Pitotless Diffuser is a professional-grade flow testing system designed for fire safety professionals to accurately measure water flow from fire pumps and hydrants. This unit features two pitotless waterways for multi-stream operation.
Key Features
- Designed for fire pump flow testing and hydrant flow testing applications.
- Pitotless Waterways: Equipped with two waterways, allowing for simultaneous, independent flow measurement.
- ALX Model: Constructed from aluminum for enhanced durability and lighter weight.
- UL Certified: Certified by UL under EX29051, ensuring adherence to rigorous safety and performance standards.
- Accurate Readings: Laboratory instrumentation used is ISO 17025 traceable, with readings accurate to within +/-1.25%.
- Multi-Stream Operation: Allows for independent GPM readings from each waterway, which can be added together for total volume flowing.
- Stacking Configurations: Can be used in authorized stacking configurations with other Riptide diffusers for increased testing capacity. Note: Riptide ALX and Riptide Pitotless ALX models must never be placed underneath a legacy steel Riptide when stacking.
- Serviceable Components: Designed for easy replacement of components like couplings, receivers, and pin locks.
Safety Information
- Always evaluate the condition of all equipment components (rubber feet, coupling gaskets, cam-locks, catches, nuts, screws) prior to use and replace any deficient components.
- Ensure OSHA required PPE is worn at all times when operating this equipment.
