Circa 1870's/80's, an antique locket in a sweepingly romantic style with gorgeous and abundant engraving to each side. Perennially meaningful, it is ornamented with wild Roses for love. 

Although not of precious metals, this would have once been a treasured place to keep memories close and tells of the fact that people in all walks of life were being able to afford jewels at this time.

Size: The locket measures 4cm by 3.3cm and is complete with the two original frames to keep your keepsakes safe. We've added a fancy-link base metal chain for extra vintage impact. It measures 17 inches in length and so the locket sits just on the breast bone.

Metal: brass or other base metal, lightly gilded with faded 9ct Gold; smoothed with loving wear
