One of the last great masters of Edo-period ukiyo-e painting and printmaking, Utagawa Hiroshige created some of his most influential works during the final decade of his life. His artwork honors the past and the present, the timeless and the ephemeral in landscapes, seascapes, and scenes of daily life. But his extraordinary woodblock print series One Hundred Famous Views of Edo ranks among the greatest achievements of Japanese art, expressing the culture and spirit of Edo—the culmination of more than 200 years of uninterrupted peace and prosperity—throughout the seasons. • Playing card varnish and linen finish for a smooth shuffle • High-quality 250-GSM cards have just the right ratio of flexibility to sturdiness • Each deck includes 52 playing cards and 2 jokers, plus two additional cards featuring art and an artist bio Box size: 3 x 3.75 x 1 in.
