William Wallace did not inherit a crown, but he stood as shepherd over Scotland when she had no king. Wallace sparked the fire of Scottish resistance at Sterling Bridge that would not be quenched until Scotland had its own king again. Wallace, Guardian of Scotland, fought to the bitter end to see his country free until his execution in 1305. His death transformed a warrior into a legend, and his name has remained inseparable from the fight for Scottish independence.

Of course, William Wallace did not do these heroics in a kilt (we're looking at you, Braveheart) but in the knightly apparel of his day. Using our Knight's Surcoat as a base, the Sir William Wallace Surcoat bears the arms traditionally associated with Wallace: the white lion rampant on a field of red, or in heraldic terms, “Gules a lion rampant Argent.” Ideal for medieval inspired cosplay, LARP, or stage and film productions.
