A unique addition for hard-to-cover areas

This lovely shrub is a dense and rambling plant, perfect for covering slopes, banks, or naturalized areas with native plantings. Its aromatic leaves and twigs not only provide a delightful scent when brushed against but also create an inviting atmosphere in your garden. Adaptable to various soil types, this resilient plant thrives in well draining, acidic soil but is also tolerant of dry, rocky, shallow, or clay soils. For those challenging spots that are often hard to cover, this shrub works wonders, filling gaps while also resisting the browsing of hungry deer.

In addition to its practical benefits, this plant offers aesthetic appeal throughout the seasons. Its vibrant foliage brings color and texture, while the aromatic quality adds a sensory dimension that enhances the overall garden experience. If you’re looking for a low-maintenance plant that contributes both beauty and function to your yard, this shrub should be at the top of your list.

Planting & Care

1. Planting: Plant or repot within 4 weeks of arrival. Ensure a hole that is twice the width of the root ball, and place the shrub at the same depth it was previously growing. Fill in with soil and water thoroughly.

2. Watering: Water regularly during the first growing season to establish a strong root system. Once established, this plant is quite drought-tolerant, but provide supplemental watering during prolonged dry spells.

3. Pruning: Prune in early spring to maintain shape and encourage bushier growth. Remove any dead or crossing branches to improve air circulation within the plant.

4. Fertilizing: Fertilize with a balanced, slow-release fertilizer in the spring to promote healthy growth. Avoid over-fertilizing, as the shrub can thrive in less nutrient-rich soils.
