A versatile groundcover for challenging spots

The Horseherb Plant is a low-growing groundcover that thrives in challenging conditions, making it a perfect choice for those tricky dry shade areas in your landscape. With its aggressively spreading root system, it forms a dense mat of soft foliage that not only suppresses weeds but also adds a lush, green appearance to your yard. Its ability to flourish in less-than-ideal soil and light conditions means you can achieve a vibrant groundcover even when other plants might struggle.

Beyond its functional advantages, the Horseherb Plant brings understated beauty to your outdoor spaces. Its modest yet charming leaves create a subtle yet inviting look, enhancing the overall aesthetic. Whether you’re looking to fill in bare spots, create soft borders, or simply add texture and greenery, this plant offers numerous uses in any garden style. Once established, it provides reliable coverage and helps retain moisture in the soil, making it a boon for low-maintenance gardens.

Planting & Care

1. Planting: Plant or repot within 4 weeks of arrival. Choose a location with partial to full shade to full sun, and ensure the soil is well-draining. Space the plants about 12 inches apart to allow for their spreading nature. Be cautious that horseherb spreads aggressively and becomes weedy.  Plant where it is able to spread out and naturalize without becoming a nuisance. Horseherb can handle moderate foot traffic.

2. Watering: Regularly water the Horseherb Plant, especially during the first growing season to establish the roots. Once established, it is drought-tolerant but will appreciate watering during prolonged dry spells.

3. Pruning: Mow like a lawn. Once established, horseberb is best mowed every 4 weeks to keep the area neat and reduce aggressive spreading.

4. Fertilizing: Apply a balanced, slow-release fertilizer in spring to encourage healthy growth.
