A radiant display of golden hues

The Confucius tree brings a dazzling touch to any landscape with its upright form and feathery fans of foliage. Its outer leaves burst forth in bright lemon yellow hues, creating a striking contrast against the softer shades of gold and rich green found on its inner foliage. This intermediate-sized selection of golden Hinoki, smaller than the common 'Aurea' variety, allows you to enjoy its beauty without overwhelming your garden space.

This tree not only captivates the eye but also provides a sense of formality and structure, making it a perfect choice for an elegant garden setting. Its reliability and graceful presence can enhance both contemporary and traditional landscapes, offering a long-lasting interest across the seasons.

Planting & Care

1. Planting: Plant or repot within 4 weeks of arrival. Remove the stake and ties at planting, as these are only for shipping. Choose a location with well-draining soil and partial to full sun for optimal growth, ensuring space for its full, upright form.

2. Watering: Water regularly, especially during dry periods, to establish a strong root system. Once established, the tree will require less frequent watering, but maintain soil moisture without waterlogging.

3. Pruning: Light pruning is recommended to maintain the desired shape and to remove any dead or discolored foliage. Prune during the late winter or early spring for best results.

4. Fertilizing: Fertilize in early spring with a balanced, slow-release fertilizer to promote healthy growth. A yearly application helps maintain vibrant foliage and overall health.
