The Beginners Class is designed for the complete novice — or anyone who hasn't sewn since high school. It runs as a set-format class with a fabric pack provided, so there's nothing to source beforehand.
Over the session you'll cover a range of foundational techniques:

• Threading a machine
• Seam construction
• French seams
• Raw edges
• Darts
• Understitching
• Facings
• Gathering
  

By the end you'll have the skills to move on to our Bring Your Own Project class, where you can start working on patterns suited to your level. Classes are held at our Surry Hills store in small groups of up to five people, so everyone gets plenty of guidance.
