Replacement and tuning springs for our H&S suspension forks. Choose the spring that fits your fork and the feel your rider needs. The soft setup allows the fork to compress more easily, especially for lighter riders, while the stiffer spring adds resistance to compression for a firmer feel.
For our standard H&S 16-inch fork, the soft replacement matches the lighter spring used in the current fork. It is not softer than the current standard setup; it can replace a missing spring or restore the intended lighter feel on an earlier, firmer-feeling H&S fork.
Soft: Allows the fork to start compressing more readily under a lighter rider or smaller bumps. Stiffer: Resists compression more and can feel more supportive when the softer setup compresses too easily. For our standard 16-inch fork, the Soft Replacement option restores the current standard feel. The 12-inch and Moto spring options on this listing are stiffer-tuning springs only.
The percentages above are from factory breakaway-force tests—the initial push needed to get the complete fork compressing. They help explain the difference in feel, but they do not mean the springs are that percentage stiffer throughout their travel. Fork friction and setup also affect the result. These are not rider-weight ratings; compare the soft and firmer setups only within the same H&S fork model.
For the corresponding H&S suspension fork only. The standard 16-inch fork, 12-inch fork, and 16-inch Moto-style fork use different spring options. These are not replacement springs for original STACYC rigid forks or other manufacturers' suspension forks.
Choose the variant for your exact H&S fork:
Each standard 16-inch option contains one spring and one fork-cap removal tool. The 12-inch option contains two stiffer springs. The 16-inch Moto option contains one stiffer spring and one extended installation tool. Fork assemblies, jam nuts, bearings, and other hardware are not included.
Both standard 16-inch spring options include the tool needed to remove the fork cap. This cap-removal tool is different from the extended installation tool included with the Moto option.
The Moto fork has its spring deep in the lower leg and requires the included long tool for removal and installation. Confirm your exact fork model before ordering or disassembling the fork, and make sure all components are correctly reinstalled and secured before riding.
