Level 2 · Finding Your Rhythm
“I've finished a few hats or cowls and can read my knitting.”
New in this project: A garter stitch triangle shawl with a simple applied i-cord edge, and a different color on each wing.
If you get stuck: Browse our Knitting Knowledge tutorials, ask in the Secret Society of Knitters community, or email Heather.
Choose three colors, see how they play off each other, and let this garter stitch shawl show them off! 🎨 The Phoenix Wrap is worked in garter stitch with one main color held throughout and a different color for each wing. An applied i-cord finishes the edges nicely.
I designed 13 colorways as a jumping off point for you! No stress about color... just a fun knitting project. Choose the combination that makes you smile, and I'll ship everything you need to your door!
Paper pattern and digital PDF download included with kit purchase.
Want just the pattern? The Phoenix Wrap pattern is free. See the Phoenix Wrap pattern page >
Each kit includes 2 skeins of the main color (MC) shown at the top and 1 skein each of the two wing colors (CC1 and CC2) below. Pick yours from the dropdown menu.
Want your own colors? Choose 4 skeins of Ewe So Sporty in any shades you like: 2 of the main color and 1 each of two wing colors. It's also lovely in a single color.
Pick your colorway, find a quiet corner, and let the rhythm of the rows carry you away! 💝
You'll get 4 skeins of Ewe So Sporty in the colorway you choose (2 main color shown at the top, 1 of each wing color), plus a printed copy of the Phoenix Wrap pattern. A US 9 (5.5 mm) 24” circular needle and a tapestry needle aren't included.
A printed copy of the pattern is packed in your kit. If you'd like a PDF copy too, it's free on the Phoenix Wrap pattern page, or email hello@eweewe.com with your order number and I'll send it right over.
This is a Level 2 project. The shawl is knit in garter stitch, and the edge is finished with a simple applied i-cord. If you've finished a few hats or cowls and can read your knitting, you're ready for it. If you get stuck, our Knitting Knowledge tutorials and the Secret Society of Knitters community are here to help, or you can email me.
Screens vary, so a color can look a little different in person. If you're unsure about a colorway, email me before you order and I'll help you choose.
The kit has the amount of yarn the pattern calls for. If you'd like to make the shawl larger, or you know you knit looser or tighter than most, it's better to order extra now. Dye lots vary from batch to batch, and I can't always match a specific lot later.
Easy! Our yarn is superwash merino, so you can machine wash your shawl inside out in cool water and tumble dry on low. All of our yarns are 100% fine superwash merino wool from Australia, spun and dyed in Italy.
I pack and ship orders within one business day, six days a week including Saturday mornings. They go out by USPS Ground Advantage from Oceanside, California, so delivery time depends on USPS and where you live. Shipping is free on US orders over $75 and $5 on smaller US orders, and you'll get a tracking email when your order is on its way.
Unused items in their original condition can be returned within 30 days of receiving them. Email hello@eweewe.com with your name and order number and I'll take care of you. If something arrives damaged or isn't what you ordered, let me know right away and I'll make it right.
