HM-13 Dragonfly & Iris
The most pictorial of the three. Dragonflies and iris blooms, drawn in the traditional Japanese style. More detail work, more short lines, more thread changes — but it reads as art on the wall in a way the geometric panels don't.
Sashiko is slow stitching at its best. One running stitch, repeated, until a piece of plain cotton turns into something you want on a wall.
The design comes pre-printed in a wash-out blue marking, so there's no transferring, no tracing, no stencil work. Stitch the lines. Rinse the lines away. Done.
At 24.5" wide by 44" long, this finishes as a wall hanging, table runner, or panel for a larger project. 100% cotton, so it takes a needle beautifully and softens with every wash.
Designed by HM Textiles in Australia. Made in Japan. Imported by Orimono Imports.
