Wings spread wide and catching the light, this moth is shaped from pieces of reclaimed vintage silverware. The fluted silver of each wing has been cut, formed and riveted together by hand, while a scrolled ornamental handle, once part of an antique piece of cutlery, becomes a pair of curling antennae.
Three black spinel stones are set down the length of the body. The moth hangs from a long strand of fine antique jet beads, which finishes with a lobster clasp, a short extension chain and a single teardrop of black spinel.
It sits across the chest as a true statement piece. Because it begins with salvaged silver and antique jet, no two are ever quite the same.
