Experience the next chapter of the legendary God of War franchise - for both new and returning fans alike.

Death was supposed to be the end, but for Laufey (Faye), warrior and wife to Kratos, a new adventure is just beginning. Awakening unexpectedly in a strange land after her death, Faye discovers the plans she put in place to protect Kratos and Atreus in her absence are now at risk.

To save the ones she loves, Faye must fight through the afterlife of the gods - the Everywhen - where ruthless gods from across mythology vie for power in a land overflowing with dangerous magic. Harness Faye's speed, control, and relentlessness to overwhelm even the fiercest of foes with decisive, deadly precision.

God of War Laufey launches on PlayStation®5 consoles February 16, 2027.

Faye’s Story

· Play as Laufey (Faye) – warrior, wife to Kratos, and mother to Atreus. A powerful and unyielding fighter, Faye once used her legendary battle prowess to face down even the mightiest Aesir. Now in the afterlife of the gods, she will test her skills against foes from mythologies far beyond the one she knew in the Nine Realms.

· Faye's story begins after the pivotal moment of her death, just as Kratos and Atreus begin their journey to scatter her ashes at the highest peak in all the realms. After awakening unexpectedly in a mysterious new place, Faye discovers she has arrived in the Everywhen - the afterlife of the gods. She learns the plans set in place to protect her family are at risk and will do whatever it takes to find her way home.

Fierce, Fluid Combat

· No stranger to legendary weapons, Faye acquires a powerful new sword upon her arrival in the Everywhen. In her expert hands, she builds momentum from one attack to the next, unleashing a relentless onslaught against her foes.

· Strike Faye’s opponents with Jötnar magic so potent it rends soul from body. Attack their very essence directly to deal devastating damage or set up creative combos that can be used to dominate the battlefield.

· Move effortlessly between the ground and air without ever halting the action. Faye’s mobility creates a playstyle defined by a hyper-responsive, unrelenting onslaught of force.

· Combining the strengths of modern God of War’s intimate, brutal combat system with classic Greek era mobility - Laufey’s combat will feel fresh, yet familiar to fans of the series.

Enter The Afterlife of the Gods

Triumph Together

On her journey, Faye is joined by two powerful companions: Rue and Phranque.

· Rue is a set of enchanted ribbons which serve as the guardian of Faye's sword. Tasked with keeping its immense power from falling into the wrong hands, Rue's heavy responsibility makes her both fiercely protective and slow to trust.
